Sixteen days exploring French history, cuisine and wine as we cycle 580 km across France from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea

Your kiwi hosts and cycling buddies add familiarity to magic French countryside. We visit medieval cities; little changed from the Middle Ages. Dine at local restaurants that deservedly have international reputations. All you need to do is get yourself to your chosen start point. We will take care of the rest.
About the ride
Cycling days will range from 40 to 65km mostly off road on canal paths. The cycle path is an easy grade and you should train to cover these distances on a daily basis.
There will be a rest day at Toulouse and Carcassonne.
There will be optional side trips to local villages and historic places which are additional kilometres but generally do not involve additional costs.
Day 1: Bordeaux – Sauveterre de Guyenne; 50km
Day 2: Sauveterre de Guyenne – Marmande; 50km
Day 3: Marmande – Agen; 55km
Day 4: Agen – Moissac; 45km
Day 5: Moissac – Grenade; 45km
Day 6: Grenade – Toulouse; 30km
Day 7: Toulouse (rest day) Second start point
Day 8: Toulouse – Villefranche de Lauragais; 50km, including 20km in Toulouse
Day 9: Villefranche de Lauragais – Castelnaudary; 40km
Day 10: Castelnaudary – Carcassonne; 50km
Day 11: Carcassonne (rest day)
Day 12: Carcassonne – Homps; 40km
Day 13: Homps – Capestang; 40km
Day 14: Capestang – Villeneuve les Beziers; 35km
Day 15: Villeneuve les Beziers – Sète; 50km
Cost: Euro 2,071 approximately $NZ 3,500 based on double/twin share rooms
Cost for the 9 days trip from Toulouse to Sete is Euro 1,500 approximately $NZ 2,500 from 29th June to 7th July 2018
Final price will be fixed at Euro to $NZ exchange rate on payment due date. Exchange rate fluctuations are at customer’s risk.
