Tour de France 2020

In 2020 we are expanding the number of itineraries and dates for Cycling across France!

We have three Routes to choose from each available to ride on ebikes or regular bikes taking quiet country roads, cycle paths and canal paths! This is cycling heaven on earth.

We love exploring, adventuring and learning with our guests on these escorted tours. There are lots of great reasons to ride with us – read on!


Bordeaux to Sete

15 days/16 nights from Euro2816 (NZ $4941 at 1/10/2019)

Cycle across South West France at a leisurely pace for up to 15 days on purpose-built cycleways and canal paths – some roads and trails into villages – moving through many historic areas and sites and an amazing array of French culture, wine and cuisine. A day sightseeing in Toulouse and in Carcassonne.

Bordeaux to Toulouse

7 days / 8 nights from Euro2100 (NZ $3500 1/10/2019)

Eight days of cycling with a sight seeing day based in Marmande and Agen. Follows the Roger Lapébie cycleway and then the Canal de la Garonne – many historical sights and opportunities to branch out into the French countryside!

Tour of the Loire Châteaux

7 days / 8 nights from $NZ3500 (subject to exchange rates)

Seven days of superb cycling from chateau to chateau along the Loire River from the town of Tours to Angers. This tour follows the wonderful Loire River, as well as the Indre, the Cher and the Vienne, taking in numerous UNESCO World Heritage classified châteaux along the way: Amboise, Chenonceau, Villandry, Langeais, Ussé, Chinon, Saumur, Angers. We make the most of a great cycle network along tranquil waterways, discovering the significant cultural and architectural heritage of the region. An opportunity to visit the area’s many wine cellars and vineyards, as well as the troglodyte caves of Turquant and Souzay-Champigny. We are mainly on green lanes and dedicated bike routes.

What do itineraries include?

Standard hybrid bike & helmet hire and repatriation of bikes.

Bike repair kit.

All tour nights in guest houses and 2*/3* hotels in double/twin rooms with en-suite facilities.

All breakfasts.

All evening meals (3 to 4 course menu).

Daily baggage transfers (one bag up to 30kg).

Detailed road book, maps and GPS tracks.

Tour host support and some historical interpretation.

Support including expert French based support as required.

Currency conversion costs, and NZ and French taxes.

International flights – but we can get group flight deals if you wish

Your transfers to the meeting place and from the finish point – both have airports/railway stations nearby

The cost of all lunches

All alcohol and other drinks

Travel Insurance (health/travel insurance is mandatory) – please ensure that you tell your insurer what you are doing and disclose any pre-existing conditions

The costs of any medical treatment required on tour

The costs of visits to any museums, monuments or other attractions while on tour

Additional travel or costs related to change in the programme due to bad weather or other unavoidable issues

Local Sim card or roaming costs
